About this project
Purpose and methodology.
Cincinnati Mass is an independent directory created to document Catholic churches in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and to provide a consistent place for careful, sourced information about parish life and the sacred liturgy.
Directory sources
Church names, addresses, map coordinates, regions, and official destination links are drawn from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati parish directory. Each profile links to the corresponding official Archdiocesan Family of Parishes page rather than to a general web search.
Liturgical observations
Observations are evaluated against primary Church documents and currently applicable liturgical law whenever possible. A report is not treated as verified merely because it was submitted. Relevant dates, circumstances, photographs, parish publications, and other supporting sources may be requested before publication.
Historical documents
Older liturgical documents are preserved as valuable historical resources, but a document may have been abrogated, superseded, modified, or replaced. Readers should verify that a provision remains in force before applying it and consult competent ecclesiastical authority when appropriate.
Corrections and submissions
Parish representatives and visitors are encouraged to report corrections through the submission form. Submissions are reviewed before publication. Clear sourcing and specific details make verification faster.
Editorial standard
The goal is accuracy, charity, and transparency. Profiles should distinguish verified facts from reported observations, identify sources, and display the date on which time-sensitive information was last checked.
